Learn how to use Solo Ads to create leads

Solo Ads…. Give you the ability to send out a promotional email message to a targeted list of prospects.

A list of prospects, that’s provided by Solo Ad Provider or a Safelist. In a nutshell that’s what a Solo Ad is.

This post is along the lines of my last two, which deals with email marketing and creating leads. (I encourage you to read both of these after reading this one.)

“MLM Leads What To Look For And Avoid” and “Targeted Email Marketing- How MLM Newbie’s Can Instantly Email Thousands”

I want to tell you this up front…. Solo Ads COST MONEY!

I say this because some people get involved in Network Marketing and they never treat it like a business.

Well it is a business and as a business owner guess what?  You’re going to have to invest in your business…. Both time and yes MONEY!

As a business owner, you can’t have a “EMPLOYEE” mentality! Which is the mentality, many tend to have when it comes to investing in their Network Marketing business.

So now that I got that off my chest, let’s get back to Solo Ads and how you can use them to bring in targeted leads…. FAST!

RELEVANT PROVIDERS

Solo Ad providers are individuals that have built a list of prospects, through various methods and they allow others to contact and advertise to their list for a fee.

There are many Solo Ad providers that you can purchase solo ads from. But before you make a purchase there are a couple of things you want to do:

  • Make sure that the provider’s list of prospects, are in the same niche as you’re promoting.

It makes no sense to market an information product about driving traffic to a website, if the list is made up of a bunch of folks who opted in, looking for information about grooming their dog.

I know it makes sense, but it’s an obvious thing that many using Solo Ads for the first time over look.

  • Next you want to contact the provider. Largely because you want to make sure that they are real.

But you also want to see if they respond to you in a timely manner…. If at all. If it takes them 3 weeks to respond to your email, is that someone you really want to do business with?

I don’t think so.

  • Ask questions! When you contact the provider, ask them if others have promoting an item similar to yours. And if so, what kind of results did they have….

Were they happy or disappointed with their results? Did they place repeat orders? Most reputable providers shouldn’t have a problem answering your questions.

CREATE GOOD AD COPY

Let me start this section off by saying, I understand that copy writing is something that requires lots of practice in order to become really good at it.

And if you’re not the best, don’t worry about it…. I have simple solution for you!

When you sit down to write your ad, there are four parts that it should contain:

  • Subject Line
  • Body
  • Call to action
  • Tracking

Out of all of these, the most important is the subject line. Because if your subject line isn’t compelling enough to make your reader want to click and open your email…. The other parts don’t matter!

The solution I have for you, to aide you with putting an ad together that will get you leads, is to USE THE AD COPY THAT’S RIGHT FROM YOUR LEAD CAPTURE PAGE!

Below are two images. One is of an ad I recently sent out to a Solo ad, the other is of the many MyLeadSystemPRO lead capture pages; I was promoting and used to put together my ad copy.

Example of Solo Ad copy

Trust me; this method will help you big time, until you become a copy writing expert!

LEAD CAPTURE PAGE

A lead capture page is the only page you should be sending the traffic from your ad to.  By doing so it will allow you to capture your leads name, email address and/or phone number.

You may have heard this before, but I feel it’s so important that I’ll say it again…. Do not use your company’s replicated page. They do not work when it comes to creating leads.

MONITIZE YOUR LIST

The ultimate goal of sending out a Solo Ad is to build a list of prospects that hopefully will join your primary Network Marketing business someday.

But until that day comes, your list is also what you will use to generate income to sustain your business and pay for more Solo Ads.

There are 101 ways to monetize your list. But I want to share the most common used concept, that can start generating income for you today and that’s the concept of using a “Funded Proposal”.

By using a funded proposal, you are able to create the income you need on the front end to purchase more advertising.

And if you set your auto-responder up to continually give value to your leads and recommend tools that will aide them with building your business, you will have a well oiled and monetized list, that makes money on auto-pilot!

If you want to really learn more about Funded Proposals…. Click here to check out this FREE 7 video series from Mike Dillard.

TEST TEST TEST

Now that you’ve find a provider to purchase your ads from, you have your ad copy done and your capture page is ready to go…. Now it’s time to test the list.

Before you send a large amount of money on that big 500,000 clicks package, your provider is offering, I suggest you purchase a small amount of clicks and test your ad and capture page to see how the recipients respond.

Once you’ve done enough testing and you’re getting a opt-in rate that you’re happy with, then you can spend the big bucks!

CONCLUSION

Alright there you have, some better insight (I hope) into using Solo Ads. If you don’t have a list of your own and a few dollars to invest, put together a ad and jump all over this.

Last thing I want to share before I wrap this post up is a couple of resources you go use to purchase adds from:

As always, share your thoughts about this post. I would love to hear them. And if you got something out of please share it with others.

Thanks for the reminder. With all the social media out there, I hadn’t thought about solo ads in a while. Your suggestion and advice is well taken. Time to take a peak and go back to the future. LOL!

@Rick Lelchuk rick lelchuk Hey there Rick. LOL… In the beginning they were something I used quite a bit, simply because I was not very good at generating leads any other way.

As I mentioned in the post, they are no longer my primary source but they still are in the tool box! And thank you again for the heads up!

    Hey Anthony,

Excellent and detailed article on how to use Solo Ads correctly.

When I first started out marketing online I built a very nice size list using Solo Ads exclusively. Now I admit I don’t place too many Solo Ads as I have found that they are not as effective as they used to be. I prefer the more “social” method to finding leads and building a list by using such resources as social media, blogging, forums and even Skype.

You’re absolutely right to say that if you do use Solo Ads your “Subject Line” will make or break the success of your ad. If you’re going to spend some money with this form of advertising I encourage people to do a little more research into how to right good copy.

    Thanks for sharing Anthony,

    Kevin

Hi Anthony, I have used some safe lists to send solo ads in the past and I still do. Even thought the results are not the same as it would be if you promote a product in your own list, it still worth it and it’s really cost effective, thanks for sharing this article with all these details…

Kostas Chiotis OpportPlanet Hey there my friend how are you!

Safe lists are so under appreciated…..LOL!

If you use them strictly for LIST BUILDING and promote the right stuff as I mentioned in the post, you can build a nice list with them. And you’re so right, they’re very cost effective.
